RAKSHA RETREAT, BHIMTAL
Captain Ravee is the Former President of Raksha Retreat Owners Welfare Society, Bhimtal. He has invested in a cottage in Bhimtal along with 100 more officers from Tri-Services. The builders cheated all the Ex-Service officers on some pretext or the other and took advantage of the situation as all the officers were staying primarily in Delhi NCR.
It is then that Captain Ravee with his father established a Society and got it registered in Haldwani and got all the officers together to fight the builder trio. Mr. Baldev Raj Magu was the first President of the society who worked very hard for the larger cause of providing cottages to the residents.
Captain Ravee moved into his cottage in 2010 being one of the first resident to move into a cottage and then slowly hand held around 60 more officers to move in strategically. Then slowly he took the builders by their horns, took over the common areas of the society and then took all the reigns of the society in his hands. He had to even move to the court against the builder for violation and encroachment on Green areas, the case which he won for the society and the residents.
Today Raksha Retreat is one of the most affluent and well run societies in Uttrakhand. Captain Ravee has endeavored to provide the best facilities and services to its residents who generally visit their cottages just as holiday homes.
Captain Ravee created and gifted an Exotic Herbal Garden to the society and all the herbs are given free of cost to the residents.
He carried out three tree plantation drives and today over 700 trees have grown making the society lush and green. He also established a Honey Bee Colony.
