Captain Ravee joined Ericsson in 1996 as an Assistant Manager – Administration when the company had entered the Indian Market. He had a huge portfolio wherein he was responsible for a total of 11 offices all over India, 220 residences of Expats, 1000 Guards, 400 house keepers, 400 vehicles and 250 drivers. He was representing Ericsson wherein the company was one of the largest clients to Group 4 Securitas.
Captain Ravee gained lot of experience in this company even at this level as he was reporting directly to Director HR & Admin for various matters. Company gave him free hand to run the administration and he did his best.
In 1997, the drivers of expats attempted to form a union trying to get permanency in the company. Management of Ericsson nominated Captain Ravee as project incharge to deal with this crisis though it was a HR Matter. He came out with flying colors in a record time of 10 days wherein he broke the union and converted them into contractual workers through various service providers by giving them some incentive. Ericsson management rewarded Captain Ravee by sending him to Athens, Greece for 10 days.
